Spring Cleanup 2017

40 people, of all ages, came out on Saturday to clean up the neighborhood and work on the trail in Puget Park. About the same number had a lovely, sunny Pizza Party at Puget Ridge Edible Park.

And here’s a report from Kurt about the work in Puget Park: We worked on surfacing the trail at the front entrance to the park at 19th and Dawson. We hope to have the trail cleared to the power lines this year. We work on the trail–surfacing, grading, or clearing it–every third Saturday from 9 to noon. It’s a small group of people doing this work, and we welcome all to come join in when they can.

Thank you to all neighbors who distributed flyers for this event. Thank you to those of you who donated money for the pizzas, and to Olympic Pizza for getting them to us. Thanks to those who brought extra food (like Rob and his sliders, the cake slices, and cookies). And thanks to Rudy and Joanna for the use of their trucks to haul away the bags.

We hope you’ll join us for the Summer Clean-up! Stay tuned for the date.
